July 17th 1969, Three days before Apollo 11 lands on the moon. In an attempt to get there first, two Soviet cosmonauts crash on the lunar surface.Â

LUNIK 1 is a short film made during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first film by both Eric & Halvar to be made 100% with CGI. Eric has since said that he would have much preffered to have made the film live action with men in suits rather than go down the CG route.
However, due to a small budget of 10,000 SEK. The only option was to create the entire motion picture digitally. The film was also created using exclusively free and open source software including: Blender3D & Davinci Resolve.
After premiering at EXIT FILMFESTIVAL, the film went on to win multiple awards and nominations and eventually being sold to the streaming service "Cineasterna".
